Book Review: World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks

Read this book. The thought and detail that has gone into it is amazing. The structure is unusual and don’t read it thinking it’s going to be anything like the movie, but it is so much better than the movie (as books usually are).

I’ve read some alternative future books where you are asked to cast aside the need for plausibility but this story seems like an entirely feasible one (if you substitute “disease” for “zombie infection”). This should be required reading for all defence, government and emergency management organisations.

Completely lived up to the hype. Interested to see what Max Brooks will do in the future.
